GNUTomorrow.com

GNUTomorrow.com is the second WordPress site I have developed and is part of an ongoing series of sites built for professional development purposes. While the site was mostly built for skills development, it is also my first attempt at building a serious, content driven and community enriched site. My goals are to learn and sharpen my SEO skills and learn how to generate organic traffic.

This site was built from WooThemes “Freemium” theme Swatch. The site however has gone under some serious refactoring, and has been rebuilt from the ground up on the Bootstrap framework into a 100% responsive design (the site adjusts its layout to fit your phone or tablet).

Social Network single sign-on for Forum and Comments
bbPress forum integration
Re-skinned wordpress login/registration/etc pages
Fully responsive design with max at 1200 wide instead of typical 960

krimsonstudios.com is the first “modern” website I have built, and is the first in a series of CMS driven sites I will be building in the next while. I decided to tackle this long overdue project of pulling the past 10-15 years worth of computer projects / music / artwork together as a professional development exercise to prepare for a new position.

WordPress

This site has been built in WordPress and is based on the Cazuela theme by ThematoSoup. The theme has been heavily customized to suit my needs and there is a fair bit of custom coding.

Fully responsive web design! This website will adjust to display on tablets and cellphones without requiring additional themes
Pinterest style portfolio pages for music and other content pages
Image gallery implementation for viewing ANSI gallery and other areas of page
Custom logo and most graphics custom done

Site is officially launched!

We’ve Launched!

This site was built mostly for professional development purposes, and as such, is not something I am looking to take to seriously. I am a professional computer programmer and felt I was a bit behind the times with my web development skills so I took upon myself this challenge. The website has been built in WordPress and uses lots of custom built code, and I additionally built my own web server in a linux environment, and am hosting this site from my home server.

While this was a learning project, it’s really nice to have finally brought together all my projects over the years into a single place. I have tons of art, music and more scattered around the web and I am slowly picking those pieces up and bringing everything together. Both for show, and for preservation of these memories of times past.

I expect to grow this site as I tackle new projects and discuss what is in the works… and I always have something in progress!

My 3rd track. Some dark / atmospheric liquid DNB. Focusing on my work on mixdown and mastering elements. There is layering on the drums to try to create a bigger sound and working towards properly EQ’ing all my channels to create strong headroom for mastering.
